"R" is for Robe

Sewing: personalized kids fleece robe:

I used a plain fleece robe from Lands End that already had the contrasting buttonhole stitch detail:

Cut out the letters, zig zag stitched them on and now it's Cubby's:

(This is not Cubby modeling but buddy boy who is the same size.)

Here's how I personalized the robe:

1. Apply fusible interfacing to wrong side of letter fabric.
Trace letters using light box, then cut out:

2. Begin with middle letter and pin into place:

3. Zig zag stitch all around letter.
Then add next letters on either side, repeating the process:

4. All done:

Completely washable and a robe Cubby can truly call his own.
