"G" is for Gingerbread

We're busy making some gingerbread tree ornaments.

I found some very old gingerbread dough in the freezer which we used to make the cookies.

The kids designs are much more creative than Mommy's little stars:

First we started with the dough, candy decorations and cutters:

Lots of small candies for decoration:

All decorated and ready to bake:

I made the more adult version:

We made the holes for the hanging ribbon with a straw:

Simply poke and twist:

All baked:

And we're cooling:

Strings on and ready to hang:

Nothing says Christmas like the smell of gingerbread, can't wait to get them on the tree this weekend.
