The kitchen is officially complete and functional. I have a few small things to show before I give a real reveal.
First the entry light. This brassy number was hanging above the front door since we moved in. Bye bye brassy.
In the spirit of repurposing as much as possible and since I liked the shape but definitely not the bright brass finish I did a little makeover. She now has a new home above the kitchen table and a much updated look. I spray painted it oil rubbed bronze and remade the shades. Watch out Pottery Barn!
So now we needed a new fixture above in the entry. A bit nautical but I love it and I installed it all myself, of course I had to do some major handiwork to get it right up next to the ceiling in order to clear the door opening. This would be an Ikea light.
